Green Friday! Win a kids dinner set from our friends at Ekobo

Since it’s creation in 2003, Ekobo has grown from a company specialising in bamboo tableware to an extensive home-wares brand specialising in the use of sustainable, planet friendly materials including FSC-certified bamboo, but also sustainable cork and organic cotton.

“Our design process is devoted to improving how we engage with our planet and we use the most innovative design and manufacturing processes available. Our creative process on the other hand, is fuelled by our family’s needs and habits, and our collection has grown as our 3 girls have grown. We are, first and foremost, a family business and so understand the needs of the busy, modern family.”

We have a great gift giveaway and we will be offering a free kids set (like in the photo) in our competition. To enter, leave your details to win!

“Our 4-piece Kid Set, made with FSC certified bamboo fibre, has been designed for pint-sized hands and eating habits. Its modern forms and mix of colors have also earned it a place at the grownups’ table. Practical, shatter-proof, dishwasher-safe and eco-friendly, this set is perfect for indoor and outdoor use. Pop it in your beach bag, or take it camping! Cup, plate, bowl and spoon are sold together in a gift box, ready to treat the little ones in your life”.

From the creators of Ekobo - Boo and Bruno Louis:

“We’ve been long-devoted to improving the way we engage with people and our planet, but our creative process is fueled by our own family - our three girls, our messy real life needs; each collection expands as our own kids grow. Our first bamboo fibre product, a kids set, was conceived because we couldn’t find BPA-free (and Disney-free :) baby dishware for our first daughter, who’s just turned 13! At the time, as parents and consumers, we struggled to trust established brands who offered the only products on the market. Leaning on our years of bamboo expertise, in 2012 we partnered with a factory in China that produced a new bamboo fibre eco-composite. Combining sawdust waste from chopstick factories and a food safe resin, we worked together to fine-tune what is now our BIOBU® FSC-certified Bamboo Fibre Collection. To push both design and function, we’ve added other responsibly-sourced materials to our range including cork, wood and organic cotton.

We’ve always believed that being green isn’t a fad, or an option, so we remain committed to making products that are durable, safe, thoughtful alternatives for today, but most importantly, for tomorrow. All our products are meant to be used and REUSED, by big and little, day in and day out, indoors or outdoors.”

Thanks guys and we look forward to seeing what designs Ekobo creates in the future!
