I am a qualified Nursery Nurse with 25+ years in child care. Recent work, in neonatal ward with premature babies. I have premature babies experience, special needs (autism, dyslexia etc), I have worked in different primary schools, NHS and for private families. I am a sleep trainer. I am creative and like to do lots of fun things with children including visits to museums, art activities, walks in the local parks and visits to the nearby farm. I have a degree in English. I am very creative and went to art college too. Children/babies are naturally drawn to my calm personality.

Look after premature babies, check all equipment is working (neo puff, oxygen is on correct setting). Complete damp dusting. Write summary in communication sheet. Prepare feeds (breast, bottle, ng tube feeding) Complete nursing notes for change over staff. Work along side parents in preparation for babies to be discharged home. Fill in observation chart, change probe and reposition babies. Attend meetings with community nurse, social services, ready for child to leave hospital. Be there for parents for emotional support. Show empathy, understanding and encouragement.

09/2019-08/2020 Nanny at Parent

Look after twin girls. Help establish a routine that suits the girls. Take on fun outings – Transport museum, Childhood museum, Docklands museum for play session at Mudlarks. Lots of walks in the local parks and play grounds. Including visits to local play groups. Teach girls some sign language to communicate. Girls are thriving.
